My life at night!

It has been my prayer that the Lord would give me a good paying job. A job that would sustain me and Doy with our everyday expenses even without getting any support from being a missionary, a job that would sustain even our ministry expenses. As this was always in my prayer... 3 mos ago a friend of ours whom from CA whom I met when he join a group to help us with our Christmas parties activities 2008 told me that he went over my FB profile and found out that I finished college... he wanted to support me through hiring me to be his virtual administrative assistant.
I grab this opportunity hoping this was Gods answer to my prayers. And in short.. got the job... calling leads and setting appointment and listening to my boss what not that quite easy and plus doing that at one am my time and its 9am there time was no fun at all, but since I prayed about it I stayed and still on it!
I both love and hate my job. I love it because if i have loads of time and got appointment and sales I also get paid big, but what makes me hate it is; i hate calling people... i hate being hated by them. I felt like I am an intruder. And its no fun. I want to encourage people... not wanting them to help me. I want tell them how good is Jesus is... that there is hope even this deteriorating world, that God is still full control. And all we need to do is go back into His arms. I like it when people talk to me as if I'm not a telemarketer. I like it when they gave me a chance to me to be me. But it seldom happens. the ratio is 1in500.
Now, my prayer is that. If this is God's will... that He may give me peace and enjoy my work. And that I will be able to set an appointments... loads of it for him. that my boss will be blessed too in his business for he is a good man.
In everything I just lift it all to the Lord my God for it is written that: all thing work together for good to those who love HIM!

Your thoughts and YOU!.....

November 9

How to Control Your Thoughts
"Those things…do"— Phi_4:9
The Power of Our Thoughts
We are all familiar with the difference that is made by the thoughts that arise within our hearts. Often they cast a shadow on our universe. A man may waken in the morning singing and address himself cheerfully to duty, and then, suddenly, some unbidden thought may creep or flash into his mind—and in a moment the heavens become cloudy and the music of the morning vanishes and there is fret and bitterness within.
Things have not altered in the least. Everything is as it was an hour ago. The burden of the day has not grown heavier, nor has anybody ceased to love us. Yet all the world seems different, and the brightness has vanished from the sky under the tyranny of intruding thoughts.
No one can achieve serenity who does not practice the control of thought. You cannot build a lovely house out of dirty or discolored bricks. The power of our thoughts is so tremendous over health and happiness and character that to master them is moral victory.

A Moral Task
This mastery of our thoughts is difficult, but then everything beautiful is difficult. The kind of person I have no patience with is the person who wants everything made easy. When an artist paints a lovely picture, he does that by a process of selection. Certain features of the landscape he rejects; other aspects he welcomes and embraces. And if to do that even the man of genius has to scorn delights and live laborious days, how can we hope without the sternest discipline to paint beautiful pictures in the mind?
So is it with the musician when he plays for us some lovely piece of music. Years of training are behind the melody that seems to come rippling from his fingers. And if he has to practice through hard hours to produce such melody without, how can we hope, without an equal effort, to create a like melody within?
There are two moral tasks that seem to me supremely difficult and yet supremely necessary. One is the redemption of our time; the other is the mastery of our thoughts. Probably most of us, right on to the end, are haunted by a sense of failure in these matters. But the great thing is to keep on struggling.
We see, too, how difficult this task is when we compare it with mastery of speech. If it be hard to set a watch upon our lips, it is harder to set a watch upon our thoughts. All speech has social reactions, and social prudence is a great deterrent. If you speak your mind, you may lose your position, possibly you may lose your friend. But thought is hidden—it is shrouded—it moves in dark and impenetrable places; it has no apparent social reactions. A man may be thinking bitter thoughts of you, yet meet you with a smile upon his face. A typist may inwardly despise her boss, yet outwardly be a model of obedience. It is this secrecy, this surrounding darkness, that has led men to say that thought is free, and that makes the mastery of thought so difficult.

Think on These Things
Now, the fine thing in the New Testament is this, that while it never calls that easy which is difficult, it yet proclaims that the mastery of thought is within the power of everybody. Think, for instance, of the Beatitude "Blessed are the pure in heart." Whenever our Lord says that anything is blessed, He wants us to understand that it is possible. Yet no man can have purity of heart, as distinguished from purity of conduct, who is not able to grapple with his thoughts. Again by our thoughts we shall be judged—that is always implied in the New Testament. Christ came and is going to come again, "that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed."
But I refuse to believe that men are to be judged by anything that lies beyond their power—to credit that would make the judge immoral. Then does not the great apostle say, "If there be any virtue...think on these things?" It would be mockery to command us to think if the controlling of our thoughts were quite beyond us. It may be difficult, as fine things always are, but the clear voice of the Word of God proclaims that it is within the capacity of all.
If, then, someone were to ask me how is a man to practice this great discipline, remembering the experience of the saints, I think I should answer in some such way as this: You must summon up the resources of your will. You must resist beginnings. You must remember the most hideous of sins is to debauch the mind.
You must fill your being so full of higher interests that when the devil comes and clamors for admission, he will find there is not a chair for him to sit on. Above all, you must endeavor daily to walk in a closer fellowship with Christ. It is always easier to have lovely thoughts when walking with the Altogether Lovely One.

Blog Hopping!

I went blog hopping today and I read a lot of different rumblings. Sometimes its good to see and figure out what other people was thinking about.
Some are really cool and interesting... others are just funny, some would discuss money a lot and others about politics, some blogs criticizes others, some talk positive things. And when I went back to mine... its nothing compare to those I read. But, its mine and its about me... and that I think the coolest thing.

Be Generous!

Be generous was the topic at our church this morning.
That is is very trues to some people lives. We found out that people who are giving even to the point of they themselves are in need too, they still afford to give even in nothingness. I saw that what they gave is being replaced for thousand times better.
The Pastor says that the key to blessing is to blessed others too. I found that very true to my life and to my hubbys life too because the more we give the more blessings come our way.
I just pray that my heart will continue to do what is worthy till the end.
Praise God for practical teaching!

Thank God t'was jus a dream!

Yesterday, it was very early morning when hubby woke me up because I was sobbing hard and he was afraid that something is wrong with me physically reasons of my cry. But I was shocked myself too when I saw him because in my dream he died. The feeling was indescribable, it felt to real. I even remember in my anguished I asked God not why... but... what should I do now without him?.. goodness, its just gotten to me now that my world revolve around my husband. I found it funny when I came to think of my question. hahahaha.
Even in my dreams I totally know and fully understood that all people will die according to God's time, but what should I do without him? I don't know!
I just praise God every morning now waking up seeing my beloved!

..what to do with...

I woke up this morning feeling half and half. When I open my eyes I know its past nine in the morning and some people are in the office working already... where I, still in bed contemplating things.
Part of me was happy that I am not oblige to wake up early but part of me was sad knowing I don't have any goal for the day. Part of my uneasiness too was because I was left all alone here at home and everybody is doing their own thing. But a friend is inviting me to go to starbucks but I don't feel like going.
I want to do something but just don't know what it is. I want to get busy with my work... my ministry, but its not just working at the moment. I don't want to get involved with someone else ministry because even just listening to them talked about it makes me feel ill. Goodness, I can't work with people whose life is so consumed with what they do as if that thing matter among all even matters that God knowing they are doing it for Him. The makes me feel tired without even doing anything.[ :),:( ]. I want to do my own work... my own assignment.

But would gladly like to do stuff with friends. (friends can lighten up a weird day... but God can make it perfect!)

...When the oceans rise...

"when the oceans rise and thunders roar, i will soar with you upon the storm, Father, You are king over the flood.. I will be still know you are God! And praise you in the storm dear God knowing that the day may dark as the darkest night... your light will shine as day break. Praise you upon the flood and the typhoon."
Other people may be hurting at this moment ... some are depressed to the max because of losing, while others just don't care. Whatever life may bring... whatever disaster the nature would bring... those who hope in the Lord will find peace in the presence of the Almighty!
May those who are hurting be comforted!

wedding pictures!

Last night I just can’t put myself to sleep, probably because of too much caffeine intake (I blame coffee?.. nah… I love coffee), or may be because of I think a lot which is stupidness as the Bible says; “do not fret” but just can help myself. So… because of that I look over our pictures.. wedding picture again, as I scroll down I can’t help but reminisce I love my wedding day because I saw most of the people I treasured much in my life. But as I went on looking I saw some faces that I don’t like too… some people that hurt my feelings soo deeply and badly, people that are insensitive, tackles, proud and all sort of things like that,. that up to the moment the thought of them makes me squirm (goodness I’m sinning… I hate this feelings but just can’t help it… so help me God.. and help me forgive and forget.)

And because of that I instantly close the album, I stop looking since they’re almost in every picture I love to look at…. Which makes me sad. So since I don’t like looking at the picture I instead listen to our wedding songs and wished that day to happen again.

God bless you guys!

Something to think about!

I got this from ate Racks.

The Wooden Bowl

I guarantee you will remember the tale of the Wooden Bowl tomorrow, a week from now, a month from now,
a year from now.

A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in- law, and four-year-old grandson.
The old man's hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered

The family ate together at the table. But the elderly grandfather' s shaky hands and
failing sight made eating difficult. Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor.
When he grasped the glass, milk spilled on the tablecloth.
The son and daughter-in- law became irritated with the mess.
'We must do something about father,' said the son.

'I've had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food on the floor.'
So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner.

There, Grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner.
Since Grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a wooden bowl.
When the family glanced in Grandfather' s direction, sometimes he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone.

Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food.
The four-year-old watched it all in silence.

One evening before supper, the father noticed his son playing with wood scraps on the floor..
He asked the child sweetly, 'What are you making?' Just as sweetly, the boy responded,
'Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and Mama to eat your food in when I grow up.
' The four-year-old smiled and went back to work.

The words so struck the parents so that they were speechless. Then tears started to stream down their cheeks. Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be done.

That evening the husband took Grandfather' s hand and gently led him back to the family table.

For the remainder of his days he ate every meal with the family. And for some reason,
neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer when a fork was dropped, milk spilled, or the tablecloth soiled.

On a positive note, I've learned that, no matter what happens, how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.

I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles four things:

a rainy day, the elderly, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.
I've learned that making a 'living' is not the same thing as making a 'life..'
I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.
I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands. You nee d to be able to throw
something back sometimes.

I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you
But, if you focus on your family, your friends, the needs of others,
your work and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you
I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.
I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.
I've learned that every day, you should reach out and touch someone.
People love that human touch -- holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.
I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.

still waiting!

Waiting for the green light!
We’ve been thinking to move to another place since early this year. And its about six months now. Every time we pay our rent we always told each other each time to move because the place is way too expensive for us to keep. We’ve been looking and looking for a house that is cheaper but found nothing. So… since out rent was quite high… it drove me sending support letters to friends asking for financial support. Lo and behold the Lord answered our prayers and touched some peoples hearts to indeed give us the gift. As for now we are keeping the place and waiting for the go signal of the Lord to leave and find a new one of His approval.

Another blessed year!

I've been busy this past few weeks. I've organized and coordinates our mid year team retreat. It was a rainy when we left Manila heading towards white beach resort, Puerto Galera, Mindoro because there was a low pressure and the boat we sail on was not that big and there was big waves and was scary. But the team inspite of that situation still laughing and giggling because of the jokes each one of us throws.
It was still raining when we got to the place and some of us probably thought our retreat was busted. But we just still love it. We played with the big waves and was the coolest thing ever. It drove us crazy rolling in the shore sands and one of my team mate brett lost his glasses (can you ever think of someone swimming in the beach playing with tsunami like waves wearing glasses? well... hahaha).
Our second day was a blast too, we played volleyball, play with the waves still and went land touring in the afternoon. goodness, God's beautifully amazing creation is indeed hidden only those who dares... finds.
Our last day... was also my birthday. I went swimming again... but this times was different because I consider... it was my treat with the Lord. I dove into the bottom of the shallow beach shore. And did it over and over again and thanking God for all my blessing; great or small, and praising HIM for He is immeasurably good. My team got me a cake...(don't know where did they get it, coz I dont see any goldilocks in there. hahahha).
Just lovin' the the goodness of life because of JESUS!

God never forgets!

Hubby and I spent our first year wedding anniversary doing house hold chores. I did the laundry and hubby cleaned the room. We have a lot of such things to do since it rained so hard and some of our clothes got wet and we also was busy that weeks reasons we were not able to clean our room. And part of why we stayed at the house was it rained hard, we have a heated argument about something and we were short in budget.
But still praisin' God for He is good and He never forgets. Two days had passed after the our wedding anniv and a pastor was moved by God to send us a gift. Praise God that today or at theis very moment we are planning to go out for a dinner with our very own ate raquel and dolf. The couple who helped us out before and after the wedding.
Thank you Lord for bringing awesome people to our lives.
You are great!

Crazy...but...Fulfilling!

To days ago my husband and I went to a family camp as a volunteer staff. My husband main job aside from tens of other responsibilities was to lead the worship. Well, as for me I was assigned to help with the kids. And there were 30 of them 6 of them were 1 1/2 year old and less and the others were 12 and less.
It was my first time to attend to two crying kids at the same time. So crazy... reason that during dinner time I had two cups of strong coffee to keep me going. hahaha. And during bed time the coffee got into my system and I was not able to sleep for a long time (poor me.)
It was indeed crazy but very fulfilling knowing those families who just lived in the street and they have no home and food is really a big problem to them reason that they snip solvent to avoid the need of food.... were able to come and experienced all the good things. The kids we were tending were all malnourished with big eyes, big tummies, and has diarrhea... oh goodness!
The food was buffet: so picture in your mind all these people getting a mountain full of food on their plates and try to get more after the first plate. To them it was a feast... if they could only eat today for the need of food for the other day... they would probably do.
We, the staff of MERCY MINISTRY stayed at the tent to give way of the families whom of the first time in their life experience a comfortable sleep at the cabin, with a nice bed and comforting sheets and pillows. We were uncomfortable... its hard to get sleep, but thinking of the families sleeping nicely makes it worth.
The owner of the camp did an amazing job too by understanding the people we minister. The rule of the camp was not to get food morethan you could eat... but these people get more than we expected and of course means more left overs, but the owner just smile at them and lovingly told us to remind them to get little anyways they can always go back to get more.
We come home sleepy and tired but happy and satisfied!

VISA: denied

Was not able to get a visa: the US embassy consul who interviewed us said that the reason that we did not qualified is because we are missionary and we did not have enough money. (hahaha).
The Lord my God will someday make things possible in His time. He will show people who doesnt believe in Him how blessed we are who depend on Him alone.

Isn't it Ironic! (poor but rich!)

Let the poor say I am rich, says the Lord!

I was born in a family whose means of living is through rice planting or what we called "farmers". Seeing my family (I mean my Dad's side) toiling was hard for me and to me its means we a poor. A reason why I really strive hard to finish my studies because i don't want to be a farmer. When I was a child I used to dream that one day I will get rich and I will help my family and the homeless children. Someday I will help pay my grand parents debt and we will live happy. It didn't happen! until....
I came to know Jesus in my heart, and received/accept Him as my Lord and Saviour, and through His Words I became rich through faith.
Before with out Jesus in my life, riding an airplane and going to places here and abroad was just a dream... nothing but a dream. Now, that I have Jesus in my life I know that I am rich through faith and the dream that I have before come to completion. A year after I accepted Christ in my life God brought me to Bangkok, Thailand year 2000 and have brought me to some other places too here in the Philippines. And this year 2009 God brought me to Macau. But year 2003 I was invited by a friend to go to Chicago but I was not able to because I was not ready yet. But my friend had invested with that already by paying my visa application to no avail but we both believe that one day God will brought me there.
On July 25 will be her wedding day and.... we are invited! This is impossible... we have no means to be able to go there. But last Friday amidst of financial crisis and a lot of must paid due bills we were able to pay for our visa application. We say we don't have the means to pay or spend more because we have nothing to spend anymore. But every need we have after Friday was met because I know that I am rich in faith through Christ Jesus!

Hearts desire!

This song is the prayer of my heart today. Only God knows what is my hearts desires. I praise God for... He can use anything to encourage us His children... as He uses this song to encourage me. If you have this song in your music files try to listen to it and listen to God. Sorry I forgot who the artist is . God bless!

From the Inside out

A thousand times I've failed
Still Your mercy remains And should I stumble again
I'm caught in Your grace
Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame

Your will above all else
My purpose remains
The art of losing myself
In bringing You praise
Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame
In my heart and my soul
Lord I give You control
Consume me from the inside out
Lord let justice and praise
Become my embrace
To love you from the inside out

Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart
Is to bring You praise
From the inside out
Lord my soul cries out

TT-Hope

This month's host is Laurie according to ate Rocks and the theme today is HOPE.

* I have a huge HOPE that the Lord will grant us the desire of our hearts as we delight ourselves in HIM. I am hoping that Hubby and I will be granted a US visa as we are desiring to attend our friends wedding this coming July 2009 in Chicago, Illinois . The possibilities as we see it is very very thin for us to be granted but we know that our God is big enough than those giants of needs we faced and with HIM nothing is impossible.

* I am hopeful that the Lord will be able to give us financial help as we have a lot of expenses to face this month. I hope next time I will be able to write in here all my praises to all our answered prayers. I know GOD is able!

* I am hoping that we will be able to pay for our house rent and pay also our mission trip contribute. (just cant say no to the mission trip because we need to be there coz we have a very important role.) I am hoping that we will be able to give financial help to my Dad.
May the Lord bless me/us and you!

Please pray with us and for us!
we need: money for visa application, house rent, mission trip contribution, friends outing contribution, extended family in need help.

TT-prasing God for He is good!

I've been in my third time BS with JKKCC girls. I praise God for leading us to study and talk about Genesis... starting on the very first. I love sharing how lovely all creation with them. I told them that appreciating God's creation is a way of worship to Him. I told them that human being was the highest from of creation God made because we are form in His likeness and image and saying wrong things to a person is hurting God. I know the girls learn something from this and I know God is teaching them on how to appreciate each other even if its the hardest thing to do for them. hahaha (knowing as teenagers.. they have issues within themselves. the look in faces made me smile.)
Last tuesday night was my third Bible Study with the girls and there were only four who showed up but mostly they were ten. But nevertheless I did not thought of canceling it because in spite of a busy and tiring day my spirit would still like to do it. So, when we were doing it and discussing Genesis chapter three which in NIV version its entitled as "the fall of man". It is a hard chapter kind of to teach but I use the simplest words and examples plus testimonies so that the girls could understand. And to my surprised the girls were opening up themselves to me... their struggles and stuff... and tonight I even have a counseling to one of them.
To be a leader is quite scary if you do it your own but knowing God is there with you who would be against us anyway?!
I praise God for He is good and will always be.
I thank ate Rocks and Lynn for this.

An Interview with Rick Warren (REMEMBER, HE WROTE 'PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE')

I got this from a friend and thought if would also inspire others!

You will enjoy the new insights that Rick Warren has, with his wife now having cancer and him having 'wealth' from the book sales. This is an absolutely incredible short interview with Rick Warren, 'Purpose Driven Life ' author and pastor of Saddleback Church in California

In the interview by Paul Bradshaw with Rick Warren, Rick said:

People ask me, What is the purpose of life?

And I respond: In a nutshell, life is preparation for eternity. We were not made to last forever, and God wants us to be with Him in Heaven.

One day my heart is going to stop, and that will be the end of my body-- but not the end of me. I may live 60 to 100 years on earth, but I am going to spend trillions of years in eternity. This is the warm-up act - the dress rehearsal. God wants us to practice on earth what we will do forever in eternity.

We were made by God and for God, and until you figure that out, life isn't going to make sense.

Life is a series of problems: Either you are in one now, you're just coming out of one, or you're getting ready to go into another one. The reason for this is that God is more interested in your character than your comfort; God is more interested in making your life holy than He is in making your life happy.

We can be reasonably happy here on earth, but that's not the goal of life. The goal is to grow in character, in Christ likeness. This past year has been the greatest year of my life but also the toughest, with my wife, Kay, getting cancer.

I used to think that life was hills and valleys - you go through a dark time, then you go to the mountaintop, back and forth. I don't believe that anymore. Rather than life being hills and valleys, I believe that it's kind of like two rails on a railroad track, and at all times you have something good and something bad in your life. No matter how good things are in your life, there is always something bad that needs to be worked on. And no matter how bad things are in your life, there is always something good you can thank God for.

You can focus on your purposes, or you can focus on your problems: If you focus on your problems, you're going into self-centeredness, which is my problem, my issues, my pain.' But one of the easiest ways to get rid of pain is to get your focus off yourself and onto God and others.

We discovered quickly that in spite of the prayers of hundreds of thousands of people, God was not going to heal Kay or make it easy for her- It has been very difficult for her, and yet God has strengthened her character, given her a ministry of helping other people, given her a testimony, drawn her closer to Him and to people.

You have to learn to deal with both the good and the bad of life.

Actually, sometimes learning to deal with the good is harder. For instance, this past year, all of a sudden, when the book sold 15 million copies, it made me instantly very wealthy. It also brought a lot of notoriety that I had never had to deal with before. I don't think God gives you money or notoriety for your own ego or for you to live a life of ease.

So I began to ask God what He wanted me to do with this money, notoriety and influence. He gave me two different passages that helped me decide what to do, II Corinthians 9 and Psalm 72.

First, in spite of all the money coming in, we would not change our lifestyle one bit.. We made no major purchases.

Second, about midway through last year, I stopped taking a salary from the church.

Third, we set up foundations to fund an initiative we call The Peace Plan to plant churches, equip leaders, assist the poor, care for the sick, and educate the next generation.

Fourth, I added up all that the church had paid me in the 24 years since I started the church, and I gave it all back. It was liberating to be able to serve God for free.

We need to ask ourselves: Am I going to live for possessions? Popularity? Am I going to be driven by pressures? Guilt? Bitterness? Materialism? Or am I going to be driven by God's purposes (for my life)?

When I get up in the morning, I sit on the side of my bed and say, God, if I don't get anything else done today, I want to know You more and love You better. God didn't put me on earth just to fulfill a to-do list. He's more interested in what I am than what I do. That's why we're called human beings, not human doings.

Happy moments, PRAISE GOD.

Difficult moments, SEEK GOD.

Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD.

Painful moments, TRUST GOD.

Every moment, THANK GOD.

If you do not pass it on, nothing will happen. But it will just be nice to pass it on to a friend...just like I have done.

God's Blessings?

Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds. Hebrews 10:24
